Tenuta Ficuzza
Piana degli Albanesi (PA), 700m asl

Vineyards surrounded by woods, at 700 metres above sea level.

Unexpected Sicily.

Tenuta Ficuzza is the first estate of our new project. This is where it all began. It’s surrounded by the woods of Ficuzza, in Piana degli Albanesi, on hills that reach over 700 metres above sea level.

We decided to keep the woods on part of the property, and the Mediterranean bush typical of the area. Hence our vineyards resemble a mosaic.

We went against the tide.

Here grow Insolia, Chardonnay and Pinot Nero.

From these two grape varieties our Jalé, 100% Chardonnay, and Angimbè from a blend of and Insolia and Chardonnay are born. We planted Pinot Noir as well. This grape variety is known to be both difficult and elegant. We use it for our rosé wine, Ramusa, and for a bottle-fermented sparkling wine called 700, just like the altitude of these vineyards.
